Puppy Preschool
Animal behaviour experts are strongly recommending owners enrol in Puppy Preschool to give your puppy the very best start in life and the opportunity to grow into a well behaved, socialised dog. Unlike dog training classes for older dogs, puppy schools are specifically designed for puppies 8 to 18 weeks of age. This is a critical age for puppies who are programmed to develop their socialisation and behavioural skills at this age. This is the time a puppy would be beginning to explore away from the litter and develop these skills.
Sanford Veterinary Clinic runs Puppy Preschool courses every Thursday night at the Clinic right here in Geraldton. The school runs for 5 weeks with a graduation at the end. We run two classes a night with start times of either 6.30pm and 7.30pm so you can pick which time suits you better. Each class runs for around 45 minutes and during the course you and your puppy will learn
A well behaved pet is a happy pet and this 8 to 18 week age is the most important stage of your puppies life. This is the time when the foundations of behaviour and socialsation are developed. Not doing so can adversly affect them later on in life.
